How does the P2000 Insulation System work so well?
Insulation effectively reduces the rate of heat loss (winter) and heat gain (summer). It is commonly believed a well insulated wall must be a thick wall, but P2000 defies conventional thinking by delivering high performance insulation with a thin sheathing product. There are three ways that cause heat loss/gain: Conduction – transfer of heat through solids, Convection – transfer of heat through the air, and Radiation – transfer of energy that becomes heat once absorbed by objects. For example, sunlight is radiant energy. P2000’s remarkable performance is due to a unique combination of several factors:
- Its reflective laminates – controls radiant heat (a major cause of heat-loss during the heating season)
- Its special dense foam core – which absorbs heat not reflected.
- The double seaming system – which seals out air infiltration & moisture
