Dave Martin, Dan Flanigan, Marie Aprill and David White recently toured the Sunrise Windows and Doors manufacturing facility in Temperence Michigan.  Sunrise Windows is the manufacturer of our Restorations Windows and Door line.  The company provides some of this country’s most energy efficient products. We met with the owner and his team and got the inside scoop on some exciting new options that will be available soon, one being additional hardware finish options, “Architectural Finishes” .   During the plant tour we were allowed to take photos and video, so our smart phones had a very productive day shooting footage of the UltraCore Insulation injection process, how Specialty Shape windows are made, and the 4-Point Fusion Welding process (how the window frames are bonded in the corners.) It is mind boggling how all the pieces and parts come out to be a beautiful energy efficient window on a truck heading to The Window Store. Using the latest technologies, and even creating their own, is what makes Sunrise Windows and Doors a leader in the industry. All of this and Made in Michigan too.

Marquette native, Dave Martin, purchases the Window Store & ABC Seamless

MARQUETTE, MI – September 1 ,2011 – The Window Store & ABC Seamless of Marquette, the leading home improvement company in the Upper Peninsula, announced the sale of the 19-year old company to David J. Martin.

Dave Martin comes from Fraco Concrete Products where he has been employed for over 30 years.  Fraco Concrete Products specializes in concrete block, ready mix concrete, landscaping products and stone. From production and sales to inventory and purchasing, Dave worked all aspects of the business which created an extensive list of accomplishments.   He ran the block production until being promoted to General Manager over 15 years ago. 

 “After 38 years, it was time for a new venture,” said Dave.  “The Window Store & ABC Seamless is a well established business that has a solid reputation and history in providing superior home improvement services to homeowners.  It is a perfect fit with my background.”

Dave was born and raised in Marquette, attended St. Peter Catholic Grade School, graduated from Marquette Senior High School and received a degree from the NMU School of Business.  He resides on Little Lake with his wife Jackie where they built their dream home.  He has three step children and two grandchildren.
